Upstairs At The Garage in Highbury is situated opposite Highbury & Islington station offering great transport links for the Tube, Overground and buses and is a fantastic space with a great sound system and dance floor.
To kick off the night at our new venue on Saturday 14th March we've lined up Bambus, an eleven piece funk band to play on the night alongside Shake! residents Alena, Jay & Ben.

Starting out in the suburbs of London and Surrey, gigging in small bars and clubs, as the band has grown and built their name, they have performed at some of the UK’s favourite music venues (Jazz Cafe, London; Charlie Wrights International,London; The Hootananny, Brixton) with covers of rare funk and groove tracks to more well known ones as well as their stomping original tracks.
Fronted by the power Soul and Funk vocals of lead singer/songwriter Sasha who captivates you not only with her voice but with her stage presence and warmth on the energetic live shows that the band perform.
The band released their debut Live Studio EP in May 2011 and have received rave reviews from both the UK and US. The band will be releasing their 2nd EP at the party at the Garage on Saturday, 14 March.
